My soul is tired

Of fighting my mind

About why I shouldn’t die

And when I think

About the struggle

I always start to cry

A chill begets

My body to

The tippest of my toes

I put the thought

Out of my head and

On with life I go

I look out to

Infinity

A solitary light

That signals

Intermittently

Continue with fight

Then four more sparkle

Telling me

That I am not alone

To call for help

So that I would not

Struggle on my own

So in I breathed

The salt filled air

Not knowing what was next

Trying to

Unscramble life

My thoughts just too complex

Yet all was made

Simple when I

Gazed into the night

I picked up my

Best friend the pen

Then I began to write
